What is the Purpose of SEAC?
The purpose of the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) is to provide school districts with input on the development and implementation of the Local Plan for special education. The SEAC offers a forum for addressing the needs of all students with disabilities. Through participation on the SEAC, members will become informed regarding special education policies and procedures, learn to advocate for the needs of children with disabilities, and have an opportunity to participate in making decisions that impact the delivery of special education services in Marin County.
Why Does SEAC Exist?
The Special Education Advisory Committee serves as a forum to actively participate and learn about the delivery of special education services in Marin County.
When Does SEAC Meet?
SEAC meets from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM . The meetings are held at schools districts throughout Marin County. Upcoming SEAC meeting dates are listed below.

September 20, 2017 – San Rafael Elementary School District | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
November 15, 2017 – Tamalpais Union High School District | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
January 31, 2018 – Marin County Office of Education | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
March 28, 2018 – Mill Valley School District | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
May 23, 2018 – Shoreline Unified School District | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
